I stayed at Shaanxi Business Hotel Shanghai for three nights during my business trip to Shanghai. Instead of choosing a popular new store, I was deeply impressed by the accommodation experience of this old business hotel. The overall feeling is that there are no fancy gimmicks, and every detail hits the comfort point of business travel.
I booked a business twin room of around 30 square meters. When I opened the door, the first impression was that it was spacious and transparent, without the cramped and oppressive feeling of many old hotels. The daylighting of the whole house is carefully done. The large window facing south is not blocked, and natural light can cover most of the rooms without turning on the lights in the daytime. Standing by the window, you can overlook the wutong Street View of Nanjing West Road. In the evening, the sunset shines in, and even the documents on the desk are coated with warm light. When you return to the room after a busy day, you feel relaxed at the first sight. The experience of the bedding far exceeded expectations. The deep sleep mattress is moderately soft and hard, providing ample support. After two days of staying up late to catch up with the plan, there was no fatigue from back pain or soreness after waking up. The pillow is also available in both soft and hard options, which is too friendly for someone like me who knows beds.
The detailed design of the room is full of thoughtfulness, with multiple sets of USB and Type-C interfaces reserved on the desktop, eliminating the need to search for charging heads everywhere. The brightness of the office desk lamp can be adjusted, and staying up late to change the PPT will not shake the eyes. The bathroom area has been separated into dry and wet areas, with fast hot water flow and stable water pressure. After a busy day, taking a hot shower can help dispel all fatigue. The sound insulation effect of the whole house is particularly surprising. downstairs is the main road of Yan'an Middle Road, and after closing the windows, you can hardly hear the noise of traffic. Even on late nights on weekends, you can sleep soundly. The hygiene details are impeccable. The corners of the tabletop and the gaps between the bathroom tiles are wiped clean, and even the corners of the carpet are not stained. I stayed for three nights without any hygiene problems.
The hotel's supporting experience is also a plus point. The 24-hour self-service laundry room has a drying function, and the laundry brought for business trips can be washed and dried on the same day, without having to save up to take home. The equipment in the gym is well maintained, and running for half an hour and two steps in the morning can improve one's overall condition. The variety richness of breakfast exceeded expectations, ranging from plain Congee dishes, freshly made pasta to coffee salad. The hotel is located at No. 658, Yan'an Middle Road, Jing'an District. It takes 6 minutes to walk directly to the Nanjing West Road subway station. Four subway lines are covered around the hotel. To the partner offices of Jing'an Temple, Xintiandi and People's Square, the subway commute can be controlled within 20 minutes, completely avoiding the morning peak congestion of the ground section of Nanjing West Road.
The business room type I booked is spacious enough, with a 25 square meter area for placing office desks and chairs, as well as ample space for luggage and file bags. The hotel is just a short walk from the Shanghai Exhibition Center, and I can reach this industry exhibition within a 10 minute walk, so I don't have to leave an hour in advance and get stuck on the road. Within a 300 meter radius, there are chain convenience stores, business printing shops, and coffee shops. If there is a temporary shortage of file bags and additional information needs to be printed, it can be solved by walking two steps downstairs. The hotel comes with a free parking lot, so colleagues who drive to the surrounding industrial parks in Shanghai do not have to spend high prices to find parking spaces in the core business district, saving a lot of parking costs.
